Just came back from Florida the other day, stayed at a place called "The Beachcomber" which has a little beach bar called "Jimmy B's". Every day of the week they have two different ones. band playing. music late at night. The groups are different and they are all very good and they all have their own audience, who along with the presenters, are all having a good time and enjoying the music.
As I sat, listening to them and watching what was happening, I couldn't help but compare the music and the pictures. I saw how much they loved what they were doing and thought about how happy I was to find photography and to love it the way they love music. I've been busy and taking a lot of pictures lately, but it made me think I want to do even more. I have noticed that almost everyone has a digital camera now, and when they take their picture, they look at the screen on the back and get instant satisfaction. Wow, how the picture started. We will be operating our photography studio for 30 years on February 6, 2009. We have spent most of that time filming and editing many of our films and publications. It's amazing that we did and saw things that few people in a 9 to 5 job will see or do in recent times, I think the best is behind us.
But digital photography, Photoshop and access to the Internet have made things much better. In May, an internet marketer named \"John Reese\" from what I read, sent an email about a site called \"Facebook". He asked us to register and make friends and form groups for things that interest you. He said it would be fine, and he was right.
I did, and of course I set up a group with photos, \"photos in photoshop", thinking that it will be a small group that I will create, and every now and then something can happen in the group . That was May, now as I write about this group in January this group has grown to over 4,500 members from all over the world.
This group is amazing, they have added almost 3000 photos of themselves to share with the group, and the group always has nice words, I have never seen a bad word. They gave their videos, their art and forgot about politics and the negative things that the economy was talking about and enjoyed their photography.
I'm back from Florida now and I'm working harder than ever (but when you like it, it's not working) learning and sharing everything I can about photography and Photoshop. It's good to love things like my band and I love pictures, and Jimmy B's fans love their music. It's a great place to get lost in good times and bad times, and Facebook is a great place to share that passion. Ed Mercer and his wife Sue are professional photographers and studio owners. They have been in business for thirty years. An example of their work can be found at
